Dancing Dentist Injures Patient with Drill

Here is a story that is hard to believe! A Syracuse, New York dentist seriously injured his patient while dancing to a song on the radio! This is more than negligence...this is stupidity!

Brandy Fanning, 31, was seriously injured by her dentist when, while dancing to a song on the radio, a drill bit used for a dental procedure broke off and lodged near her eye. According to a recently filed lawsuit, the dentist, Dr. George Trusty, was performing rhythmical steps and movements to the song "Car Wash" when the drill bit snapped. Trusty attempted to remove the bit by using a metal hook but those attempts only pushed the bit farther - driving it through her sinus and bone near her eye socket. Ms. Fanning alleges she had to undergo emergency surgery and three days of hospitalization to remove the bit.

Word to the wise: If your dentist starts dancing during your care....tell him or her to stop their fancy footwork and act like a professional!
