A Roanoke County man was killed in a single car accident on Tuesday April 10th. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Police say it happened around 10:42 when a car ran the stop sign at Rome Drive and Crumpacker Drive. The car went straight through the intersection, hit an embankment and overturned.

Both people in the car were wearing their seatbelts. Police are investigating the accident and do not believe that alcohol or weather conditions were responsible for the crash.
