Man Crashes Car into Utility Pole

A man drove into a utility pole along Plantation Road in Roanoke, damaging the pole and shutting down traffic on both sides of the street January 18th.

The car was in the northbound lane when the driver lost control, drove into and through a yard, and finally hit a utility pole. Work crews needed to repair the pole and were on the scene for several hours. The driver of the car was not seriously injured.
